Position Summary: To develop and maintain aircraft maintenance schedules and processes for an MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time. This position will coordinate with all departments: quality, engineering, logistics, and production for the maintenance, repair, and delivery of aircraft and components.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develop maintenance and repair processes for aircraft and components in accordance with approved documentation, regulations, and customer and quality requirements.
  • Improve maintenance efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, material and equipment requirements, standardize work methods, solving operational issues, and providing technical support.
  • Act as project manager coordinating between the production floor, quality, engineering, and logistics to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with the production floor to establish production schedules, priorities, weekly and monthly production planning, and resources allocation.
  • Contribute to the Repair Station development with the implementation of lean initiatives and methodologies.
  • Support the design precision machining instructions and surface treatment procedures related with Component Repair activities.
  • Perform production control duties for in-house repairs; plan and distribute workload among the mechanics.
  • Locate, audit, oversee, and support U.S. repair facilities for component repairs special processes.



Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:



  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering).



Experience:



  • 3- 5 years of experience working in an Aviation or Manufacturing facility or in planning position in a related industry.



Knowledge, Skills, & Demonstrated Abilities:



  • Knowledge of EASA/FAA Part 145 and EASA/FAA Part 21 is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages required.
  • Experience and knowledge working with MS Project preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and ERP systems (i.e. SAP) is preferred.
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approached to problems.
  • Ability to work and make decisions with limited supervision.


Communication Skills:



  • Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels, both spoken and written.



Travel Required:



  • Less than 10% Domestic and International Travel
