Responsibilities:

The Nursing Tech III Performs advanced patient care procedures (such as, initiation of intravenous therapy, splinting/casting, suturing, and simple patient teaching) under the director of a licensed Nurse or Provider and/or performs advanced support-procedures for the operation of the Emergency Department. Coordinates equipment and/or supply systems. Performs sterile processing procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School/GED
• Trade or vocational school in medical/surgical patient care.
• 6 months patient care experience required. One to three years experience preferred.
• Receives on-the-job training and competency verification to perform primary functions.
• Microsoft Office Skills
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) Or EMT-I
