Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) is seeking a System Administrator II Lifecycle Hardware Replacement Support to support the Lifecycle Hardware Replacement program at the Y12 National Security Complex (Y-12). This role provides handson lifecycle support for workstation hardware across secure DOE/NNSA facilities. Personnel will work closely with Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC (CNS) personnel to execute daily work orders in highvolume, missioncritical environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, stage, and configure workstations and peripheral hardware for deployment.
  • Transport, deploy, and install hardware across multiple Y12 facilities following established site procedures.
  • Perform connectivity, imaging, and operational function tests before system handover.
  • Retrieve and process decommissioned equipment, ensuring proper documentation, tracking, and asset control.
  • Execute work orders and lifecycle tasks in ServiceNow or equivalent work management tools.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with CNS and DOE quality assurance, information protection, and configuration control requirements.
  • Support throughput requirements aligned with CNS's high-volume deployment expectations (350+ workstations/month across the program).
  • Adhere to site security, training, Environmental Safety & Health (ES&H), and facility access protocols.

Requirements:

  • Associates or higher degree in a technical field and 2 to 5 years of related experience or high school diploma and 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in Windows workstation deployment, desktop administration, or IT hardware support.
  • Experience with imaging tools, asset management systems, and ticketing/work order platforms.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks including transporting and installing hardware across secure facilities.
  • Strong documentation discipline and familiarity with quality/compliance-driven work environments.
  • DOE Q or DOW TS clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, System Center Configuration Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), or automated imaging workflows.
  • Familiarity with CNS/Y12 operational or security requirements.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • This position is a fully onsite position at Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Benefits:

Starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $90,000 and $114,000 annually. Salary is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
