Description
The International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) has provided high-quality language training for more than 50 years to a wide range of clients. We are seeking flexible, reliable, and experienced English-language instructors to serve as substitute teachers for our Intensive English Program (IEP) at our Washington, DC language center.
The IEP runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Substitute teaching opportunities occur on an as-needed basis at various times and days, depending on program needs. We estimate substitute teaching needs to average two to seven days per month, covering all or part of the regular IEP schedule.
Substitute instructors are provided with lesson direction by the regular IEP teacher and are expected to follow established course objectives and materials. In addition to classroom coverage, there are occasionally opportunities to lead weekly field trips or facilitate conversation club activities.
Our school is conveniently located in downtown Washington, DC near several metro lines and offers a professional, collaborative, and friendly work environment.
