Fall 2026 Quality Co-op

As aCo-op, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success.Co-ops in this rolewill learn how toidentify, measure, and analyze quality risks in the business and support efforts ineliminatingthem.

Success in this role depends on the Co-op's initiative and teamwork skills.A successfulCo-op will be able tolead RootCauseAnalysismeetings, build visualizations to show historical trends, and accurately read shop drawings.

McKenney's has a long history of success in hiring Co-ops and supporting their evolution into industry leaders. Many of our current senior leaders began their journey in the Co-op program.

• Collaborate regularly with Project Managers to discuss quality-related observations and ensure shared understanding and resolution of quality concerns.

• Facilitate the creation of permanent reporting capabilities using Smartsheet, Tableau, or other software/technologies for theQualityteam and internal customers.

• Perform root cause analysisofevents that compromise qualityonconstruction projectsand support initiativestoensuresustainable solutions.

• Review equipment documentation to mitigate risk.

• Support the field by generating design documents for large and small construction projects.

• Performjobsitevisits to collect information forthedevelopmentofdesignsand to ensuredesigns havebeen constructed properly.

• Candidates must be enrolled in a Co-op program at an accredited engineering school majoring in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree.
• Candidates must complete at least two full-time alternating Co-op rotations before graduation and should avoid a full courseload while working, which may delay graduation.

  • 2^nd Rotation: Summer 2027

• Ability to use time productively.

• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as within a team.

• Maintaina strongattention to detail.

• Effective verbal and written communication across multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Project Managers, field staff, drafting, and shops).

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.

• No or limited exposure to physical risk; occasional jobsite visits may require climbing permanent and temporary stairs/ladders, passenger use of hoists, and navigating active construction areas.

• Light physical effort handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds may be required occasionally.
