Member Solutions Representative

Role:

To contact members, generally up to 180 days delinquent, to determine the reason for the past due condition of a loan and help develop a plan to bring the loan up to date. Determine and implement action that should be taken if loan collateral is in jeopardy.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current. Assist in forwarding written documentation of loans and negative balance accounts to 3rd party collectors.
• Assist in the processing of other member solutions department task including but not limited to tow notices, CPI claims, homeowners' insurance, deceased account notifications.
• Answer general gollections line; process payments from 3rd parties (collection agencies, trustees, CCC).
• Skip trace members to locate and obtain contact information, process validation requests and credit disputes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Physical requirements include standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching including reaching above the shoulders, talking and hearing, visual acuity, occasional stooping, crouching, or kneeling, and occasional lifting a maximum of 15 pounds. Equipment used includes, but is not limited to the following: computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, copiers, printers, fax machine, scanners, and other standard office equipment and supplies.
