The Legal Aid Society is the nation's oldest and largest social justice law firm. We are united in one simple but powerful belief: that no New Yorker should be denied the right to equal justice. The Legal Aid Society advances its mission through rigorous client representation in a myriad of courts, community education, class action and impact litigation, and systemic law and policy reform. The Legal Aid Society is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented professional to join our Development Department as the Development Associate. Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Associate is one of three data-focused positions on the Development Operations team, who together are responsible for supporting the data management of the organization's fundraising revenue. The Associate will partner closely with the entire Development Team, including the Major Gifts, Institutional Giving, and Donor Communications units. This role will provide critical support to the department's plan to grow fundraising revenue and donor/supporter engagement ahead of the organization's 150th anniversary. The Associate will assist the Database Manager with developing and implementing data management and hygiene best practices and also generate solicitation lists for online and offline fundraising programs. They will be expected to: understand the donor experience and the needs of fundraisers; effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues; and support the management of data systems and the development of department policy. This is an ideal opportunity for a fundraising professional who is ready to create system processes and create efficiencies while rolling up their sleeves to support all annual fundraising efforts. This role currently has a hybrid work schedule. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Data Health Management in Fundraising CRM, Raiser's Edge/RE NXT
