POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The incumbent provides stable and dependable service, while learning trade-specific skills that will translate to additional opportunities and advancement within the Company. Base hourly rate of $18/hr - $20/hr KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under supervision, assists in carrying, hanging and assembling duct assemblies using screws, couplings, clamps, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering and welding.
- Performs general jobsite duties such as setup, material handling, post job clean-up.
- Loads and unloads trucks using manual lifting or jobsite equipment such as forklifts or telehandlers.
- Assists apprentices and journeymen in job planning, material storage at jobsites.
- Participates in the removal / installation of HVAC and/or equipment duct work that is being completed on a daily basis.
- Inventories and prepares all hand tools needed to complete daily tasks, as assigned.
- Identifies potential risks and hazards while working in the field, and communicates them to management.
- Utilizes proper PPE at all times, in adherence to Company policy and other project standards.
- Actively learns and obtains job-related information via observation and direction from supervision.
- Collaborates with supervision to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work tasks, and meet both daily and weekly schedules.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates primarily in the field installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/equipment ducting systems. Jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to weather, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, dangerous machinery, healthcare facilities, public schools and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.

TRAVEL:
- This position may be required to travel between jobs on a periodic basis as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- General knowledge of construction activities.
- Ability to work with hands and use construction tools.
- Ability to take instruction.
- Willingness and ability to work nights and overtime on an as-needed basis.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industrial experience, including carpentry/woodworking, auto mechanics, or machinery.
