Responsible for providing comprehensive social work services to students in a hospital-based educational setting. This role focuses on addressing the emotional, social, and academic needs of students and collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare providers to promote positive outcomes. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Conduct assessments to identify students' emotional, social, and academic needs. -Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support students facing challenges. -Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with mental health issues, trauma, or behavioral concerns. -Utilize evidence-based practices to promote resilience and coping skills. -Respond to crises involving students, providing immediate support and coordination with emergency services as needed. -Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safety and well-being during crises. Education Master's Degree Social Work required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Social Worker [Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - LICSW - State License] - Generic - HR Only required Experience Experience in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field 2-3 years required and Experience working in educational institutions or a similar setting 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and effective intervention strategies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations. - Compassionate and empathetic, with a strong commitment to supporting student well-being. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive situations with professionalism.
