Position Summary Housed within the School of Education at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver), the Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) provides a vital and innovative pathway into teaching in PreK-12 classrooms, including special education and all secondary content areas. The School of Education is seeking the next energetic and innovative director who will manage all aspects of ALP, including advising potential candidates; instructor and coach hiring and supervision; coordinating curriculum development; communicating with partner school districts, on-campus faculty and staff, seek out collaborative and innovative partnerships, and the Colorado Department of Education; promoting the program to new school partners, managing the budget; and program evaluation. This person may also teach courses and coach candidates in their respective school settings, as needed. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population. The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for underrepresented groups. Salary for Announcement Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $80,000 - $93,000. This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits. Schedule Information
