Medicaid Eligibility Specialist- Full Time

The Medicaid Eligibility Specialist serves as a key representative for residents and Luther Manor in all Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement matters. This role plays an essential part in supporting the revenue cycle processes and ensuring compliance with eligibility requirements.

• Act as the primary point of contact for residents and families regarding Medicaid eligibility.
• Guide residents and families through the Medicaid application process and manage any necessary updates or changes.
• Serve as a liaison between residents and the Milwaukee County Welfare Department during annual financial reviews.
• Monitor changes in Medicare/Medicaid eligibility criteria and recommend policy or procedure updates as needed.
• Collaborate with the nursing department to obtain and provide required documentation.
• Assist with monthly billing and cash posting across all programs.
• Track residents' financial status to identify those who may require public assistance.
