Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Senior Financial Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters. This position is responsible for gathering, preparing, analyzing, and reporting on the financial results of certain operations of the Company, developing budgets/forecasts, supporting capital reporting and analysis, assisting with the monthly close, and assisting withproduct inventory reconciliations. Maintain a working relationship and provide support to various corporate departments and operations groups. The accountant/analyst must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Deliver monthly performance reports, including analysis of operational and financial KPIs.

  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

  • Develop budgets and forecasts, including full financial statements and presentations.

  • Assist with month-end close and consolidation process, including journal entries, eliminations, internal transfers and account reconciliations.

  • Perform product inventory accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Prepare/analyze capital reporting and manage project approval process.

  • Assist and provide information to support internal and external audits and tax preparation.

  • Prepare quarterly and year-end financial reporting schedules in support of the Company's quarterly and annual reports.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and modelling skills.

  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in translating complex information into understandable reports.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Identifies and recommends areas of continuous improvement and/or waste elimination.

  • Establish high-performance standards and set goals to attain them.

  • Take initiative and demonstrate commitment to the organization's professional management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information, identify trends, and make forecasts.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; skillset in Hyperion, Ellipse, and Power BI a plus.

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.

  • Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • 3-5 years of public accounting and/or private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control areas.

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$105,000. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
