Description

As Vice President, Total Rewards you will serve as a key member of the HR leadership team and help form and implement our Total Rewards strategy. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and administration of the company's Total Rewards offerings from base pay, incentive and equity programs to comprehensive health & welfare and retirement plans - and you will execute the integration of these functions across multiple business units and newly acquired entities. As a leader on a growing HR team, you will help build a culture across the organization in support of scalable growth, acquisition integration, and People First - Mission Always culture. You will help map the long-term growth of a Total Rewards team, while serving as a working technical expert in the near term.

Strategic & Executive Leadership:



  • Translate People-first vision into Total Rewards strategy that supports HR's mandate to attract, develop, manage and engage Talent.
  • Provide leadership for the Total Rewards organization and education to the field HR / People Services team of generalists.
  • Drive enterprise-wide harmonization of Total Rewards programs, processes and systems following acquisitions, ensuring integration of culture and people across the United States. Total Rewards Technical/Program Management
  • Evaluate market data, industry trends, and best practices, seeking opportunities to calibrate the competitiveness of the Total Rewards program.
  • Develop, manage and deliver competitive, employee-centric compensation and benefits plans that support our People First strategy.
  • Oversee benefits programs (Health & Welfare, DC and DB Retirement, Wellness, etc.), ensuring appropriate competitive offerings.
  • Manage relationships with brokers and carriers. * Develop, manage and deliver total compensation systems and support including hourly and salaried base pay, aligned annual incentives, and executive compensation (E.g., equity and NQDC plans).
  • Participate in acquisition diligence of total rewards programs and lead total rewards integration of acquired companies.


Operational Excellence & Culture:



  • Ensure that Total Rewards programs, policies and procedures are fit-for-purpose, efficient & effective, and aligned with business strategy (organic and inorganic growth).
  • Foster a culture of customer-focus, and a unified enterprise mindset.
  • Lead, mentor and develop HR talent across multiple locations and business units.



Position Requirements

Required:



  • Proven leadership experience (12+ years) in complex organizations with a successful track record designing and implementing effective Total Rewards programs.
  • Deep technical knowledge in all aspects of Total Rewards - and willingness to dig in to do the work as we build out the team.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. government rules and regulations related to benefits programs (e.g., IRS, DOL, ERISA, etc.).
  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership presence.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MILR, MBA or equivalent) preferred.


Preferred:



  • Master's degree in relevant field or JD.
  • Demonstrable track record of leading Total Rewards aspects of successful acquisition integrations.
  • Prior board exposure preferred, but willing to provide for the right candidate.
  • Experience in a publicly traded defense contractor or large multi-business enterprise.
  • Experience implementing Payroll/HRM systems across business units.


Success Metrics/KPIs:



  • Timely integration of People-focused programs and processes in acquisitions.
  • Performance to budget in current period and expense performance relative to prior period.
  • Total Reward program costs relative to external benchmarks balanced by employee satisfaction with offerings.
