Application Development (IT) Internship - Summer 2026

Morton Buildings, Inc.'s corporate Information Technology (IT) department, located in Morton, Illinois, is offering a paid student internship during the summer. The internship program will allow the student to use relevant skills to participate in a variety of information technology functions via on-the-job training, focusing on Application Development.

This is a paid internship opportunity. The hourly pay rate starts at $18.

Essential Functions

• Work in a team environment: Collaborate with others within and outside the IT group to grow your skills in areas such as business analytics, applications development, application delivery, and project management.
• Engage with leading-edge technology: Work with leading-edge technology and tools to meet the challenges of the post-frame construction industry.
• Evaluate and optimize business functions: Work with the application development team to evaluate user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate, enhance, and/or optimize business functions using Microsoft C# .Net, Swift, SQL Server, and Microsoft Web technologies.
• Experience agile development practices: Be exposed to agile development practices.
• Complete special projects: Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned.
• Participate in special projects and assist in other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Targeted graduation date during the 2026/2027 school year or students completing schooling at the end of 2025 but still needing to satisfy an internship requirement.
• Pursing a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Mobile App Development, with a focus on data structures, data mining, application development, or related discipline.
