This position is responsible for the centralized management of one or more projects. The role involves aligning IT initiatives with business strategies, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints. This role requires a strategic mindset, a keen understanding of project management principles, and a collaborative approach to work closely with various stakeholders across the organization. The IT Project Manager serves as a key liaison between the IT department and other business units, facilitating communication and ensuring that IT investments deliver maximum value. The position may be based inNorthville, Michigan and reports directly to the Governance and PMO Director of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Assist in planning and scheduling project activities, milestones and deliverables
  • Track project progress, timelines, and key performance indicators
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings, maintain agendas, and document action items
  • Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue tracking
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, status reports, RAID logs, and meeting minutes
  • Prepare clear and concise project updates for stakeholder and leadership
  • Ensure all project delivery methodology and artifacts meet PMO standards and best practices
  • Serve as central communication point between team members, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Follow up on assigned tasks to ensure timely completion
  • Support change management efforts by communicating project impacts and next steps



Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Experience



  • 3-5 years project management experience
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects.

Travel



  • Ability to travel as needed up to 20%

  • Often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
