The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

  • Under the direction of the Manager, the Receiving Clerk maintain the Materials Management computer system for the accurate receipt of all materials.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma required
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel and the ability to multi-task successfully

Preferred:

  • college degree

Scheduling Requirements

  • Shift: Day
  • Time: 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Status: Per Diem
  • Must be able to work weekends/holidays

Essential Functions:

  • The receiving clerk receives and delivers all packages, sorts and distributes mail, utilizes technology and pallet jack
  • Distribute all incoming products from Owens & Minor daily to designated departments following the purchase order
  • Sign for UPS, FedEx, FedEx Ground, and all other courier deliveries, break down skids, arrange and number packages/boxes and corresponding packing slip, and scan receipt data in Materials Management computer system using handheld scanners. Deliver all products to appropriate departments and receive confirmation signature of receipt
  • Maintain a tissue tracking log following Joint Commission standards and regulations for human and nonhuman cellular-based transplantable and implantable products
  • Work with all drivers to ensure accurate receipt of medical Center products. Refuse incorrect deliveries and document manifests for shortages
  • Manage telephone information inquiries/requests with courtesy and accuracy.
  • Assist all departments with the UPS Campus Ship Program for all outgoing shipments
  • Operate and maintain all department equipment
  • Cover all mailroom responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
