American Industrial Transport, Inc. is a privately-owned company based in St. Charles Missouri, providing railcar leasing and repair services to the companies that move the essential assets that power the North American economy.

Job Summary & Core Responsibilities:

The Commercial Intern will support the Commercial team through project-based work focused on sales support, market analysis, and process improvement. This role provides hands-on exposure to commercial operations, including the use of data, analytics, and emerging AI tools to support prospecting and decision-making. The internship is designed to include clear deliverables, meaningful day-to-day contribution, and opportunities to learn how commercial strategy is executed in a business environment.

  • Provide sales and marketing support to the Commercial team, including research and data preparation
  • Assist with AI-enabled prospecting initiatives and market analysis projects
  • Support CRM management activities, including data cleanup, organization, and reporting
  • Contribute to project-based work with defined deliverables and timelines
  • Assist with research, data analysis, and preparation of summaries to support commercial decision-making
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the Commercial function
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Commercial team as needed

Required Experience / Skills / Qualifications / Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools
  • Interest in sales, marketing, commercial strategy, and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
