DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Right of Way Intern, you will play a vital role in assisting staff with various technical tasks related to the acquisition of legal rights-of-way and real estate for public projects. Your responsibilities may encompass a range of activities, including participation in claims settlement processes and other general real estate acquisition duties, particularly within transportation district offices. This internship is part of the 2026 Summer Employment Program and will be specifically located in Engineering District 5, which includes the counties of Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, and Schuylkill. This opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience in the field, allowing you to contribute to important public objectives while gaining valuable insights into the intricacies of real estate acquisition and management. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time internship that will run from May 2026 through August 2026
- Work hours will vary based on position
- Travel may be required
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled or intending to enroll full-time or part-time in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree, or advanced degree program for the fall semester..
- Must be a Pennsylvania resident or currently enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university.
- In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
