Position Summary

The Blender Operator is responsible for mixing proper ingredients according to formulation to ensure quality frank emulsion is prepared using proper equipment and procedures. This role works closely with the department supervisors, other department leads, and processing team members, in order to accomplish accuracy within the processing department and to ensure that our customers receive quality products. This position executes processes that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, supporting Foster Poultry Farms' mission, vision, and ACTION guiding principles: Accountability, Collaboration, Truth-Seeking, Initiative, Ownership, and Nimbleness.

Essential Functions

• Operate blender to mix proper ingredients according to formulation to ensure quality frank emulsion is prepared.
• Don proper Personal Protective Equipment.
• Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
• Must work in safe manner.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours on a wet concrete floor
• Must be able to withstand a cold (40-48 degree) environment.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to operate and understand functions of the blender machine.
• Must be able to prepare proper ingredients for adding to blender according to formulation and complete blend logs.
• Must be able to safely operate pallet jack and/or forklift and have required operator's license.
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment and clothing.
• Must work in a safe manner when using sanitation chemicals.
• Must follow company GMP and Food Safety procedures.
• Must follow company policies and procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Other duties as assigned.
