Responsibilities
The Clinical Educator forthe Emergency Department staff andNew Hire Orientationwill be responsible and accountable for the planning, organizing, and evaluation of orientation for new employees and ongoing education for all employees of theEmergency Department.Assistswith planning, organization, and coordination of all educational activities within the department.Coordinates and teaches theEmergencynursecourse throughout the year.Provides input for hiring, evaluating, and termination process of staff.Involved in policy and procedure development, compliance with OSHA/TJC/ADA/DOHregulations, compliance with hospital rules and regulations, andimplementingthe Performance Improvement process.The clinical educator forthe Emergency departmentand new hire orientationis accountable to the Director ofStaffdevelopment. Qualifications Education Requirements:BSNrequired, MSN preferred(Ifmaster's in education, must have BSN - preferred Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or CNS/Nurse Practitioner. Experience: 3 years ofdirectEmergencyDepartment NursingExperience; 1-yearpreviousEducator Experience Skills: Intermediate Computer Skills, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, excel License / Certification:Current Registered Nurse licensure, Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS Certification Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026! A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics, Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.
