Location:Stamford, Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)

Position Overview

They are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join a small, collaborative accounting team (10-person office). This hands-on role requires versatility and the ability to manage multiple priorities across various accounting functions. You'll work in an intimate office setting with direct access to a supportive and friendly leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities (October 31st fiscal year-end)
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain Fixed Assets and depreciation schedules
  • Execute complex bank reconciliations across multiple banking relationships
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections processes
  • Handle invoicing and billing operations
  • Oversee tax compliance including sales tax and property tax returns
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Support preparation of financial statements and comprehensive financial reports
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned
  • Adapt to changing priorities and wear multiple hats as business needs require
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience (public or corporate accounting background preferred)
  • Essential: Experience with Acumatica or comparable large-scale ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
