Staff Accountant Location:Stamford, Hybrid (3 days/week onsite) Vaco is working with a company that is an industry-leading organization in the media and tourism sector looking for a Staff Accountant. This hands-on role requires versatility and the ability to manage multiple priorities across various accounting functions. You'll work in an intimate office setting with direct access to a supportive and friendly leadership team. Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close activities (October 31st fiscal year-end) Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain Fixed Assets and depreciation schedules Execute complex bank reconciliations across multiple banking relationships Manage accounts receivable and collections processes Handle invoicing and billing operations Oversee tax compliance including sales tax and property tax returns Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standards Support preparation of financial statements and comprehensive financial reports Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned Adapt to changing priorities and wear multiple hats as business needs require Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting required 3-5 years of accounting experience (public or corporate accounting background preferred) Essential: Experience with Acumatica or comparable large-scale ERP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
