What will you do as a Quality Manager at Sealed Air?

You will play a critical, hands-on leadership role in ensuring product quality, food safety, and process discipline across the manufacturing site. This role requires strong floor presence, balancing being a doer and a leader, and actively driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement.


You will spend the majority of your time on the production floor, working closely with your team and cross-functional partners to ensure compliance, resolve issues, and improve processes that impact safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Why do we need you?

  • Lead and develop a team of quality associates, with direct responsibility for a growing team.
  • Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions related to quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Foster a strong quality culture through daily floor walks, team huddles, and direct engagement with production teams.
  • Serve as the site SQF Practitioner and HACCP Coordinator, overseeing Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external and internal customers on quality-related topics.
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to define quality performance metrics, track results, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead internal, second-party, and third-party audits related to quality, food safety, and GMP.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives in alignment with corporate purchasing directives.
  • Balance hands-on problem solving with effective people leadership and change management.

What will you need to succeed in this role?

  • Proven hands-on leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to influence, coach, and develop teams on the production floor.
  • Solid understanding of quality management systems, food safety, and regulatory standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
  • Practical, action-oriented mindset with the ability to drive improvements from day one.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with operators, leaders, customers, and suppliers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high floor engagement.
  • Proficiency with common quality and data analysis tools (e.g., root cause analysis, control charts, process improvement methodologies).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
