About the Role Security Officers act as a visual deterrents and intervene and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats. This position requires specialized training and physical conditioning. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures. Responsibilities
Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the exterior I.D. all incoming patrons entering sportsbook Monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees Act as a first responder in emergency situations Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and following established protocol for reporting injuries Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED training/drill as a condition of employment Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned equipment Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1+ years of customer service experience Valid Driver License Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred Previous experience working in a similar resort setting Ability to gain and maintain a Gaming License through the proper regulatory bodies as a condition of hire and continued employment
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $14.23 to $21.25. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
Applicants must possess legal authorization to work for our company in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship. At this time, this role is not eligible for immigration-related employment authorization sponsorship including H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN, OPT, etc.
Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.
