      About the Department:


      The Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music's mission is to enable every student to find his or her best musical voice; prepare each to fulfill society's need for artistic and innovative musicians, scholars, music educators, and ambassadors for the arts; and graduate each with hope, confidence, and distinction.


      About the Position:


      The adjunct applied Classical Voice professor will teach individualized lessons, starting January 2026.


      Responsibilities:



      • Teach Applied Classical Voice lessons;
      • Provide weekly studio class;
      • Participate in recruitment for the Vocal Studies Area;
      • Adjudicate Classical Voice Juries; and
      • Participate in Vocal Studies Area initiatives.


      Required Qualifications:



      • Master's Degree in Music or equivalent professional experience;
      • Successful experience teaching at the college level; and
      • An established reputation as a professional artist with a documented portfolio of live performances.


      Preferred Qualifications:



      • Successful experience teaching vocal techniques for classical voice styles;
      • Piano skills sufficient for accompanying voice students in lessons;
      • Experience teaching students to build technical proficiency and repertoire across the genre; and
      • Demonstrated ability working with a diverse population of artists, students, faculty, staff, and community members.
