You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unwanted behavior and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas as required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide support during incidents.
  • Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Hospital-required vaccinations are required.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
