Reimagine What's Possible

As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Equipment & Services Buyer is responsible for the procurement of equipment, services, and related supplies, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition while maintaining a commitment to safety and sustainability. The role leverages SAP, ISN Network, and our ASSL database to manage purchase requisitions, orders, supplier data, and invoice tracking.

This position requires collaborative engagement with Plant Engineering, Maintenance, Accounts Payable, and external contractors to ensure the manufacturing campus functions at optimal efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement of services, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations), capital equipment, and tooling.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope of work and technical specifications for services and equipment.
  • Evaluate supplier bids, conduct negotiations, and issue Purchase Orders or service contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensure delivery schedules are met, and resolve any service or delivery issues.
  • Perform vendor onboarding and updates within SAP.
  • Work closely with finance to reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies, safety regulations, and corporate procurement guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and support audits when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CPIM, CPSM) preferred.
  • 3 years of experience within purchasing with general exposure to commercial terms.
  • Knowledge of purchasing procedures and procurement terminology.
  • Knowledge of general inventory operating systems. SAP knowledge a plus.
  • Understanding of supply chain metrics and financial implications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
