This role requires driving and carrying a firearm as part of your responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Enforce healthcare facility policies and procedures, including those related to access control, visitor management, and restricted areas.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, communicating any concerns or observations to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
