Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Clearance Patrol in Independence, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication, embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while working with a supportive, people-first team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the business interior and its perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or security-related issues within the location.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing assistance as needed while upholding site rules and regulations.
  • Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms in accordance with company and site-specific requirements, ensuring proper handling at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years combined law enforcement military or security experience or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
