As a Business Analyst on our team, you'll be interacting with the product team, multiple other product teams, and clients to perform functional and technical requirements analysis, documentation, and validation for new and existing software development. You will create new or update existing user stories and acceptance criteria, assist in gathering meeting notes and preparing weekly status reports, and present status updates to the team and client. As needed, you will help facilitate team and stakeholder discussions, remove team impediments, and coordinate with other scrum teams to deliver high-quality products.

You Have:

  • Experience developing requirements documentation such as user stories, system requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint

  • Knowledge of software development Agile Frameworks, including Scaled Agile, Scrum, and Kanban

  • Knowledge of screen and user interface designs, including wireframes, front end test documentation, including sprint review, user guides or online help documentation, release notes, end user communication, and training materials

  • Ability to analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations

  • Ability to conduct necessary research and provide in-depth analysis to resolve production issues

  • Ability to maintain ownership of tasks until resolution, manage competing priorities, and provide timely solutions to the team while remaining flexible with continually changing priorities

  • Ability to serve as the liaison between the product manager, development team, and client to clarify requirements, confirm system behavior, delegate issues and support request assignments, and escalate issues to the Product Manager or Scrum Lead

  • Public Trust

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for requirements documentation

  • Experience working with stakeholders and product owners to define the target state of a system and identify or document gaps for software applications

  • Experience on a successful scrum team, including with sprint ceremonies such as sprint, planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives

  • Experience with SQL and completing database queries to support analysis

  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira or Confluence

  • Ability to develop presentation materials and lead and facilitate team meeting sessions

  • Ability to learn quickly, be a self-starter, and pay strict attention to detail

  • Ability to analyze disparate systems to identify gaps and potential impacts

  • Ability to develop business workflows

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
