Temple University's Facilities Department (Main campus) is searching for a Senior Facilities Specialist!

Salary Range: $55,000 to $58,000

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Assistant Superintendent, the Senior Facilities Specialist (Service Staff IV Supervisor) is responsible for managing Service Staff IV (housekeeping staff), equipment, materials, and resources within the assigned Temple University facilities buildings. The supervisor will assign Service Staff IV employees in their daily work assignments and will be responsible for the buildings assigned at the Night Shift Superintendent's discretion.

The position will also require the individual functioning in this supervisory role to not only oversee the general cleaning of his/her assigned buildings, but to also oversee the floor maintenance, scrubbing, stripping, and waxing tasks as well. Administrative responsibilities include preparing and submitting any housekeeping-related written documentation in a timely manner. The duties and responsibilities of the position will require the Sr. Facilities Specialist to periodically work outdoors in inclement weather. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* A minimum of two (2) years directly related experience and/or training
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge of cleaning and floor care equipment and procedures.
* Ability to work outdoors during snow events.
* Ability and comfort interacting with and supervising a sizable number of employees, and can make difficult decisions when necessary.
* Ability to assess and resolve housekeeping-related issues while adhering to university/departmental policy and procedures.
