Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine is searching for a Sr. Director, Continuing Medical Education!

Salary Range:$130,000 - $140,000

Position Summary:

The Sr. Director of Continuing Medical Education (CME) is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and administration of a financially self-sustaining CME program that meets the educational needs of physicians and healthcare professionals. This role ensures compliance with ACCME accreditation standards, oversees the planning and evaluation of educational activities, and drives innovation through the creation of new programs and marketing strategies. The Sr. Director also secures funding through external grants and contracts, maintains national recognition for Temple University's CME efforts, and fosters collaborations within the university and with external institutions to support the Health Science Center's mission.

Required Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree with (6-10) six to ten years experience in an Academic office environment required.

Preferred Education and Experience (if applicable):

* M.D., Ph.D., Ed.D with 10 years progressive experience in medical/continuing/adult/health professional education

Required Skills and Abilities:

* Strong written and analytical skills.

* Familiarity with accreditation requirements for continuing medical education and health related professional education.

* Demonstrated leadership, administrative/management, and marketing skills.

* Ability to interact effectively with top management and to represent the health science center to external institutional and organizations

Essential Duties:

* Manage a financially self-sustaining Continuing Medical Education (CME) program; administers the continuing education budget.

* Maintain ACCME accreditation and ensures compliance with all accreditation requirements in program design, implementation, and evaluation.

* Plan, organize, allocate resource, and evaluate CME activities across Temple's Health Science Center.

* Develop and accredit CME programs for external physician audiences.

* Develop and accredit CME programs for internal audiences within Temple University School of Medicine.

* Design and implement marketing strategies for "enduring materials" in family medicine and other specialties.

* Initiate innovative CME programs for medical and allied health professionals.

* Establish and maintain support systems for CME programs at the Health Science Campus, including securing resources and providing logistical support.

* Conduct and publish research on various aspects of CME in the medical and health professions.

* Develop innovative funding mechanisms for CME programs, including securing grants and contracts from external sources.

* Maintain and enhance Temple University's national reputation in continuing medical education.

* Foster internal and external partnerships to advance the mission of the Health Science Center through collaborative CME initiatives.

* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective management of the CME enterprise.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
