Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking an International Care Navigator (ICN) to join the International Center.

Patients from over 100 countries have traveled to MSK in America to receive cancer care from our world-renowned oncologists, surgeons, and other medical experts.

The ICN is a key contributor responsible for guiding international patients and caregivers through their care journey - from first contact to treatment and follow-up. As the patient's primary point of contact, the ICN blends access-related tasks with supportive navigation.

Role Overview:

  • Serve as the single point of contact from first inquiry through completion of the patient's care journey

  • Coordinate intake tasks, including medical record collection, imaging, and pathology, in collaboration with internal teams

  • Coordinate across internal teams (financial, clinical, administrative) and with external partners (ex. Referral agents and embassies) to ensure a seamless experience

  • Attend key appointments, facilitating transitions between services and providing high-touch, concierge-style coordination

  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving patient access, experience, and navigator workflows

  • Identify recurring barriers or patterns in patient experience and offer thoughtful solutions

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 2-4 years of experience in healthcare, patient access, navigation, or related role supporting individuals through complex systems

  • Experience supporting international populations

  • Fluency in Arabic, Chinese, or Spanish with medical interpretation experience is preferred (there will be a language assessment as part of the recruitment process)

  • Communication & Cultural Competence: Excellent verbal and written communication; culturally aware and sensitive with international patients.

  • Patient & Relationship Management: Skilled at building relationships with patients, families, clinical teams, and external partners.

  • Critical Thinking & Autonomy: Comfortable with ambiguity; agile and exercises independent judgment, critical thinking, and process-mindedness; navigates complex global healthcare systems.

  • Organizational & Project Skills: Highly organized with attention to detail; experience in process improvement, project work, and managing multiple priorities.

  • Documentation & Technology: Proficient in Epic, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and other digital tools; strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

Additional Information:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, flexibility is required. Hybrid schedule - 2 days onsite/week

Pay Range: $67,900.00 - $105,300.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
