The Product Development Manager is responsible for the tactical development and execution of new Concentra products and services. The position has primary responsibility for all components of product development to include identification of emerging industry trends, conducting primary and secondary market research, defining customer and product requirements, and developing a compelling business case to achieve organizational goals. Working closely with operations, clinical affairs, sales, and marketing, the Product Development Manager will have extensive interaction and visibility throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
The Product Development Manager will manage the research, development, and launch of multiple new products, services and partnership opportunities
- Oversee the launch phase, monitoring and analyzing product performance and make recommendations on modifications/enhancements
- Develop and manage product development / project plans
- Project financial contributions, recommend pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals and propose budgets to create a compelling business case
- Collaborate with key organizational constituencies to ensure defined products have sufficient resources to achieve operational and revenue goals
- Define potential product concepts
- Play a key role in sales and implementation activities, working with Operations to develop policies, workflows and KPIs to ensure products and services deploy smoothly
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop a communications plan, sales strategies and messaging that supports products, services and programs
- Monitor key industry trends and quantify market opportunities
- Conduct rigorous market testing
- Assess competitive pressures
Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Major: Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
- Education Details: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or in a related field from an accredited college or university
- Certifications and/or Licenses: Six Sigma Certification
- Customarily has at least five years of experience in Product Development
- Preferably at least three years of Product Management experience at a Fortune 500 company and/or in a consulting capacity

- Proven success in developing and launching new products and services
- Possesses subject matter expertise with respect to industry trends and competition
- Proven success in the application of the principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products and services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques and systems.
