Accountant II

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOC) is looking for a qualified Accountant II to support our Corporate Operations in our Orlando, Florida office.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monthly billing of assigned contract billings
• Working with Program Managers, Accounts Payable, and Contracts staff to resolve discrepancies and provide support when needed.
• Interface with and provide guidance to remote program accounting staff on billings, projects and month-end closing.
• Develop and document internal processes and workflows
• Assist Revenue Manager with monthly reports into excel spreadsheet for analysis
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries
• Assist with year-end close and audit preparation as needed.
• Other assigned duties

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Associate's degree or higher in accounting and/or finance

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Federal Government Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Deltek/Costpoint

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to read and interpret Government Award and Modification documents.
• Knowledge of Contract types (FP, T&M, CPFF)
• Knowledge of WAWF and IPP submissions
