The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role, delivers HR leadership, support, and guidance to a team of HRBPs and designated employee population within CCH. The person in this role serves as a first responder and business partner to requests from employees and leaders and provide hands-on facilitation of programs and projects designed to support employee development, organizational improvement and overall Human Resources initiatives and goals.

    • Valid driver's license required. This requirement may be waived, if necessary, based on overall candidate experience and current needs of the business.

Essential Job Functions
    • Identifies and implements HR strategy regarding serving the employee population in partnership with the VP of People and Culture
    • Lead and develop a team of HRBPs, focusing on delivering exemplary service to all employees of CCH and ensuring consistency in messaging and implementation around people-focused initiatives
    • Utilize metrics to identify themes of of best practice and opportunity to educate HRBPs and leaders to drive HR results
    • Partners with leaders and employees to educate, support and guide actions. Assists employees and leaders with the interpretation and correct application of company policies, procedures and programs while exercising the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism
    • Provide support and resolution to employee relations issues by providing coaching and assistance in the areas of disciplinary action, resolution of workplace disputes, performance issues, and terminations in assigned area and partner with HR Leadership, Employee Relations and Legal for issues requiring more complex solutions
    • Partner with recruiters to proactively understand business landscape, hiring needs, and any staffing challenges
    • Identify high impact projects and mentor HRBP team to successfully and consistently roll-out and educate on HR policies and procedures to a diverse audience
    • Partner with the appropriate teams to collect and capture turnover data, identify trends and work with leaders on retention plans
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry and related HR issues to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations
    • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Summary
    • 8+ years of human resources and/or leadership experience
    • Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring leaders
    • Demonstrated experience in growing and developing others
    • Facilitated training classes in both in-person and virtual settings
    • Experience in Workforce Planning Preferred
    • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
    • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
    • Strong project management and organization skills
    • Exceptional customer service skills; excellent interpersonal/assertive communications skills demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills; flexibility, positive attitude.
    • Knowledge of homeless issues and demonstrated sensitivity to and a desire to work with underserved populations preferred
    • Skilled in proactive conflict resolution.
    • Skilled in operating office equipment and computer software (Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
    • Familiar with the basic function of HRIS (human resources information systems)
    • Able to ensure accuracy of data management and reporting.
    • Education, Licensure and Certifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field from four-year college or university required
    • Certificate in HR Management required (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP etc)
$120,833 - $145,000 a year
