Where you'll be:

This position will be based in the Springfield, TN location. The role will work between the hours 5am-3pm based on production needs. This role does support production needs.

All About the Role:

The Senior Master Scheduler is a strategic role responsible for leading production planning and scheduling (PPC) across multiple manufacturing lines or facilities. This position ensures alignment between demand forecasts, capacity planning, and inventory strategies to meet service level goals and optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee master production schedules aligned with sales forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
  • Lead PPC initiatives, integrating demand planning, MRP, and capacity analysis to drive operational excellence.
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure synchronized planning and execution.
  • Conduct simulations and "what-if" analyses to support decision-making under changing demand or supply conditions.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Balance supply and demand by managing resources effectively.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and obsolescence.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Serve as a communication link between marketing, distribution, engineering, manufacturing, and planning
  • Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes, leveraging lean principles and digital tools.
  • Coach and mentor junior schedulers and planners, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards and internal sustainability and safety programs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production scheduling processes and overall efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • 8+ years in production planning and scheduling, with proven tech lead in PPC environments.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP required Certifications required. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP), scheduling software, and data analytics tools.
  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, inventory control, and materials management. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to react quickly to unanticipated orders. Experience in establishing master production plans from sales forecasts and managing inventory levels to support these plans.
