Asssembly & Shipping Technician

As an Assembly and Shipping Technician, you will be a vital part of our manufacturing team, ensuring that our equipment is assembled accurately and shipped efficiently to meet customer expectations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your attention to detail and technical skills directly contribute to the success of our operations in Sabetha, Kansas.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6a - 3:30p & Friday 6a - 2:30p

What You'll Do:

  • Assemble equipment in accordance with detailed blueprints, ensuring each component is correctly installed and secured.

  • Perform related duties such as attaching decals, conducting minor paint touchups, testing assembled equipment, and installing plumbing, electrical controls, and timing devices.

  • Secure nuts, bolts, guards, belts, chains, and other small parts to complete each product line.

  • Package assembled equipment carefully, attaching tags and hardware, and preparing packing lists.

  • Record shipment details, noting any shortages or discrepancies on shipping logs.

  • Load packaged equipment onto trucks, coordinating with transportation carriers and customers to facilitate smooth shipping processes.

  • Construct skids and crates for outbound shipments, calculating appropriate sizes to optimize truck space and shipment efficiency.

Team:

  • You will be part of our manufacturing team supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality products on time and in excellent condition.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical instructions.

  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, air-driven tools, electrical tools, and hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in assembly, manufacturing, or shipping environments.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to equipment assembly and material handling.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
