As a Process Control Panel Assembler at our Coperion manufacturing facility in Sabetha Kansas, you will be integral to the manufacturing of sophisticated electrical control panels that power our process equipment. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills in electrical assembly and wiring, contributing to the delivery of reliable, high-quality control systems that support our customers' operations. What You'll Do:
Build and assemble process control panels according to detailed engineering specifications. Layout back panels and enclosures for drilling, tapping, and creating cutouts for components. Wire, label, and tag all wires, cables, and devices within the control panels to ensure clarity and safety. Operate engraving equipment to produce identification tags for components. Use computers and specialized printers to generate wire labels and tags, ensuring accurate identification. Identify and select components using electrical schematics, bills of materials, and assembly instructions. Install conduit and complete wiring between control panels and mounted instrumentation. Construct crates for shipping electrical control cabinets and related equipment, ensuring secure and safe transport.
Team:
You will be part of our electrical assembly team, working closely with engineering, quality control, and shipping personnel. Your role supports the development and delivery of electrical control systems that meet rigorous standards for safety and performance.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word for printing labels and engraving tags. Knowledge of basic hand tools used in electrical assembly. Ability to read, interpret, and utilize engineering and manufacturing documents such as bills of materials, assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and diagrams. Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or education in electrical, controls, or related fields. Prior experience assembling electrical panels or working with control systems. Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
