Job Title: Forklift Operator Location: Portland, OR- 97230 Duration: 3+ Months Pay Rate: $17.00/hr. on w2 without benefits Shift Timing: 1^ST Shift: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday Job Responsibilities: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment or in-store pickup. Assist walk-in customers by providing product information, answering inquiries, and helping them order the products they need. Handle customer transactions, process payments, and provide an overall positive experience for customers visiting the branch. Maintain accurate inventory counts, assist with cycle counts, and ensure stock levels are properly recorded in the warehouse management system. Receiving and Stocking: Receive incoming shipments, verify product quantities, and stock shelves or designated warehouse areas efficiently. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the products carried to better serve customers and ensure order accuracy. Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and customer interactions as required. Warehouse Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and customer service area. Follow all safety protocols, operating procedures, and company guidelines to ensure a safe working and customer service environment. Work closely with other departments as needed to meet branch objectives, including assisting with deliveries or additional warehouse duties. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the warehouse and company operations. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be adjusted as the business evolves. All team members are expected to act with honesty, transparency, and accountability in every aspect of their work. Required Skills: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or customer service role is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service mindset. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) regularly. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills for inventory management, order processing, and customer transactions. Willingness to learn product details and assist with various warehouse operations.
