Position Summary

Our IT organization drives innovation and efficiency across the enterprise. We are committed to leveraging technology to deliver value and support strategic business goals. Join us and gain hands-on experience in IT Financial Management, managing the budget under the Chief Information Technology Officer as part of the Office of the CIO. We are seeking a motivated college senior majoring in Finance or Accounting to join our IT Finance team. This internship offers practical exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting with a focus on IT operations, projects, and technology cost allocation & chargebacks.


Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist with financial data entry, transaction recording, and maintenance of IT-related financial records.
  • Perform variance, trend, and ratio analyses to evaluate IT financial performance.
  • Aid in budgeting and forecasting for IT projects, including data gathering and model updates.
  • Allocate costs back out to the correct department or end user, identify discrepancies in allocations.
  • Reconcile accounts (AP, AR, and IT vendor invoices); assist with audits and compliance reviews.
  • Conduct financial research on technology spend for supplier inquiries.
  • Assist with building a 3 year annual operating plan (AOP) budget for IT.
  • Validate open purchase orders for forecasting accuracy.
  • Assist with software and hardware asset management allocations and inventory.
  • Analyze company cellphone processes, plans, and orders.
  • Analyze over licensed software licenses for cost savings in ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with IT personnel, Accounts Payable, IT Sourcing Manager, and Corporate FP\&A teams.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking events to enhance professional development.

  • Ability to analyze data and determine where there are opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to track deadlines and proactively manage milestones.
  • Ability to work with other teams and departments to resolve escalated issues.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently enrolled as a senior in a bachelor's program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.

DESIRED:

  • Familiar with an IT Service Management platform such as ServiceNow or MESD.
  • Familiar with ERP systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft.
  • Knowledge of IT cost allocations for a global organization.
  • Knowledge of budget principles.
  • Knowledge of basic IT software and hardware.
  • Experience with global FX rates and currencies.
  • ITIL 4.0, IT Finance or Technology Business Management (TBM) Certifications or coursework.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
