Accounting Manager

Location: Grand Junction, CO (Onsite)

Compensation: $80,000-$95,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations across multiple entities. This role combines technical accounting expertise with operational leadership and requires a proactive professional who can manage complex accounting functions while supervising a small team. Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Manage accounting for multiple entities/divisions.
  • Oversee month-end close, financial statement preparation, and general ledger integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle 1099 processing, W-2 generation, and related filings.
  • Perform data uploads, reconciliations, and large dataset manipulations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.

Leadership

  • Supervise 1-2 direct reports, providing mentorship and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Technology & Tools

  • QuickBooks Online, Yardi, and proprietary ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency: VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, data manipulations, data dumps, and uploads.

Qualifications

  • Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in real estate, property management, or construction accounting highly valued.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Desire to grow within the organization and take on additional responsibilities over time.
