Summary/Objective:

The Accounts Receivable Analyst I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting routine accounts receivable operations across plant locations. Core responsibilities include posting invoices, verifying key account data, and responding to basic internal inquiries related to customer transactions. This role plays a foundational part in ensuring billing accuracy and data consistency within the order-to-cash process. The Analyst I follows standardized procedures for document review and system entry and escalates unresolved issues to senior team members. The position requires attention to detail, process adherence, and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency. This role supports smooth AR processing and contributes to timely cash application and customer account maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Quickly and thoroughly match credits to invoices.
  2. Respond to inquiries from internal staff or accounting teams.
  3. Fulfill customer set up requests.
  4. Support AR processing for dedicated plants.
  5. Manually process bills for all intercompany and external transactions.
  6. Maintain document control and send documents for approvals as necessary.
  7. Support team audit preparation by maintaining consistent and traceable documentation practices.
  8. Understand and follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  9. Maintain accuracy in all AR entries and support transaction validation.
  10. Uphold confidentiality and ensure safe system usage.
  11. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Working Conditions:

  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. 1+ years of clerical, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
  3. Basic understanding of accounting or financial concepts is preferred.

Essential Functions:

  1. Process transactions for dedicated plant systems.
  2. Process manual billing for all intercompany and external transactions.
  3. Communicate effectively to build professional relationships.
  4. Maintain compliance with SOX, security, confidentiality, and safe system usage policies.
  5. Properly follow audit procedures/policies & respond to audit documentation requests as needed.
  6. Access and utilize SOPs effectively.
  7. Maintain a general understanding of how transactions affect inventory.

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position may be active and requires standing and sitting with occasional walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time hourly position. Typically, Monday through Friday 8-5 p.m. with occasional night and weekend hours.

Travel:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. 1+ years of administrative or clerical experience, or relevant education.
