GFT is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Northeast Transportation. This hybrid position will be based out of GFT's New Jersey offices (Marlton or East Brunswick) or New York City office. What you'll be challenged to do: As a Bridge Engineer, you'll immerse yourself in a dynamic mix of bridge engineering assignments across the Northeast region, contributing to the planning, design, and delivery of structure projects that strengthen regional mobility. From multi-span highway overpasses and complex river crossings to pedestrian bridges and culvert upgrades, you'll apply advanced analysis and geometry work in support of resilient, sustainable infrastructure. You'll engage in design-build and accelerated construction projects, collaborate with roadway, geotechnical, and traffic teams, and help pioneer solutions that drive multimodal connectivity and community value. The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 4 years of progressive design experience in structural engineering design for multiple types of bridges and structures. Under supervision, performs plan development and calculations of varying degrees of difficulty for a wide variety of assignments that may include technical studies, structural design and analysis for bridges and related structures, load ratings, and quantities. As you grow in the role, you'll be encouraged to expand your technical reach: advancing your modeling skills, mentoring junior engineers, participating in business development opportunities, and broadening your exposure to large-scale public agency clients.
