What You'll Do:

Work in a cloud-based platform built with Java and open-source technologies, including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to support data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.

• Be a key member of the Operations Team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, providing top-notch customer support, and leveraging your troubleshooting expertise to resolve technical challenges.

• Collaborate with a fast-paced, innovative team where your proactive mindset and attention to detail will make a real impact.

• Gain exposure to a variety of technologies and customer environments, continuously expanding your skills and experience.

• Provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support in an on-call capacity, helping maintain operational excellence.

• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in Linux environments, with opportunities to deepen your expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, and scripting languages like Python and Bash.

• Strong background in Linux system administration and troubleshooting

• Experience or familiarity with cloud-based architectures, containers, and big data technologies

Position Requirements:

• Experience: 17+ years as a Systems Engineer on projects of similar scope and complexity.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or an additional 5 years of SE experience in lieu of a degree).

• Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher.

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a current polygraph.

• Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with Prometheus, JIRA, HDFS, virtualization technologies, Salt/Ansible, Grafana, OpenStack, and AWS.
