About this Position

We treat cancer using the latest technologies and treatments including gene sequencing of tumors, targeted therapy and advanced oncology surgery techniques. We use a team approach to care, bringing together different areas of expertise that specialize in any type of cancer.Under general supervision and in accordance with department policy and procedure, this position is responsible for simulating patients for radiation treatment planning. Administers contrast material if indicated, monitor patient closely. Administers medical treatment to patients having adverse reaction to contrast and notifying doctor.

Scope of work

CT Technologist in Radiation Oncology provides healthcare services, applying computed tomography (CT) imaging and creating immobilization devices to assist with treatment. Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing scans at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the simulation. This role is Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm, no evenings, no weekends, no call, and no holidays. Assures equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.

Qualifications

  • Required associate's degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 2 Yrs required Or
  • CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Or ARC 90 Days required
