Essential Responsibilities:



  • Examine accounting and financial records as well as appraising internal controls, operational and administrative functions for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Examine and audit assets, liabilities, income, expenses and related records through application of sound audit practices.
  • Recommend changes including new procedures and techniques to correct weaknesses.
  • Document all work performed with work papers and written audit programs to evidence the audit work and the material facts supporting the conclusions drawn from it.
  • May participate in special reviews or projects.
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the Internal Audit Department's mission, objectives and goals.



Summer Internship Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:



  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must have completed at least 3 years of college and will be a rising senior in college by fall of 2025.
  • Interest in Audit
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday, May 18, through early-mid August
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Detailed oriented and willing to help others
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills



Desired Skills and Competencies:



  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems



Physical Requirements:



  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
