As a recognized leader in the industry, Global currently has an immediate career opportunity for a Remote Lead Area Project Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various major furniture projects and opportunities. While collaborating with internal teams, end users, furniture dealers, and sales representatives, the Project Specialist will analyze the project's requirements, using their product knowledge, production expertise and logistics coordination skills. This position will determine criteria required to complete the job and provide technical support to each. The role must display a professional ability to build solid working relationships while showing leadership in a collaborative environment. Critical thinking and strong decision-making skills are required in overall project management. The Project Specialist will see a project through from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages projects based on department criteria, from planning through completion.
  • Provide open and consistent communication during projects as the sole point of contact for customers and dealers.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of project details into CRM to keep Key Stakeholders informed.
  • Intercede and resolve and/or develop options to keep a project on track if a problem arises.
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans.
  • Comfortable checking order acknowledgements and Specifications.
  • Knowledge of all product lines along with understanding of product codes.
  • Responds to client requests for information, product images, materials, etc.
  • Collaborate with team to recommend design solutions and provide value engineering recommendations.
  • Communicate design ideas and direction quickly to team, dealer and/or client.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of features and benefits of existing and new product lines.
  • Responsible for communicating changes and revisions related to projects.
  • Responsible for sending Pre and/or Post Installation RFP's as needed.
  • Participate in projects onsite as needed with dealer and/or client.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or CAD drafting degree from four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • AS400 knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge CAP 20/20, and CET Designer.
  • Advanced knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, and specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of product codes and product application.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of completing assignments in a timely manner with proactive and self-starter approach.
  • Able to handle multiple assignments at one time.
  • Must work well in a team environment and independently.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute percent.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Travel required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Actual base pay offered will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Global, an individual may not be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each potion and candidate. (If a bonus or commissions see below for additional sentence).
