Business Sales Activation Specialist

Have you ever considered how your attention to detail could support seamless connections for businesses? As a Business Service Activation Specialist at Spectrum, you'll play a key role in guiding customers through the order process, coordinating service activation, and ensuring every interaction meets our high standards. Your work will directly improve customer satisfaction and drive successful business outcomes at Spectrum.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Support Spectrum customers by managing incoming calls, website inquiries and emails to process and complete service orders for cable, internet, voice and mobile
  • Coordinate with internal teams and partners to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for all sales leads
  • Evaluate and correct work orders to guarantee operational soundness and proper billing, preventing duplicate or inaccurate orders
  • Manage work queues and dashboards to schedule or reschedule orders, maintaining alignment with Spectrum's policies and standards
  • Communicate clearly with customers and partners across multiple channels, resolving inquiries and handling exceptions before installation
  • Apply Spectrum's business rules and guidelines to uphold the integrity of work orders and drive completion rates
  • Document best practices, share insights with your team and contribute ideas for continual improvement

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 2+ years of customer service or sales experience

Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively
  • Proficient with computers and software applications
  • Capable of working independently within a team setting
  • Skilled in resolving customer complaints and issues
  • Comfortable handling prolonged periods of seated, back-to-back calls
  • Clear, professional oral and written communication
  • Understanding of cable, high-speed internet and telephone services
  • Familiarity with general accounting and billing procedures
  • Knowledgeable about office procedures and Spectrum policies
  • Able to troubleshoot service issues
  • Awareness of residential product information, packaging, pricing and current offers
