Senior Leasing Representative

Description

As a Highwoods Senior Leasing Representative you will be responsible for securing prospective customers and developing relationships to secure long-term tenancy in our remarkable workplaces that inspire and support growth, community, and connection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for new business development; researching prospective customers and conducting cold calls
  • Understands inventory to properly answer / match inquiry calls and available space
  • Builds good working relationships with brokers and existing customers
  • Coordinates and leads property tours for prospective customers
  • Coordinates space planning activities between customers and architects / construction teams
  • Utilizes proprietary leasing analysis software
  • Prepares lease proposals and reviews; negotiates lease terms with customers and brokers through execution
  • Attends customer punch list walk-throughs
  • Assists in preparation of annual leasing budgets
  • Actively participates in local Commercial Real Estate organizations (NAIOP, Chamber of Commerce, etc.)


QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:



  • Excellent and effective organizational and time management skills
  • High interpersonal relationship skills and strong work ethic
  • Strong sales skills
  • Detail-oriented and analytical
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Real Estate License or attained within six months of hire


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in business, economics, or marketing
  • Minimum of five years of experience in sales, commercial leasing or property management preferred

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing equipment. Work is of a general office nature; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, balance, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and see; required to use arms and hands to reach; typing on computer keyboard and using phone is required. Must be able to inspect all areas of the properties, including roof, and/or basement.

May occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds. This job may be exposed to construction sites and various weather conditions.
