What to Expect
Tesla Service Parts Operations is hiring knowledgeable Parts Advisors with exceptional, in-depth process experience for the role of Service Parts Operations Trainer for our service and collision centers across North America. As a successful Service Parts Operations Training Team member, you will provide instruction on new hire onboarding, mobile equipment certification, inventory control systems, and returns ensuring those standards are consistent with those across the Tesla North America Service Centers. This individual must be able to travel weekly while aligning with management and their peers across the Service Centers to drive consistency in training, documentation, and system changes. This position can be expected to travel up to 75% to accommodate the needs of the business.
What You'll Do
- Apply strong presentation skills with the ability to facilitate training classes in many settings. Train new team members in end-to-end processes with an emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including solid interpersonal skills, are preferred to facilitate many sizes of classes
- Provide training to existing team members as processes evolve and improve to ensure team member success as processes change. Promote continuous improvement of all training programs including software systems, Inventory Management, and high-voltage battery safety
- Track training coverage for all Service Center staff. Identify areas where additional training is required, while adding to and removing training retirements as business needs change
- Assist in retraining low-performing team members to assist with improvement and development. Explain KPIs and metrics to team members in ways entry-level team members can digest to set clear expectations from day one
- Work with the Service Parts Operations Training Supervisor/Manager and other key stakeholders to identify training needs, facilitate appropriate training, and provide feedback to support learner growth
- Facilitate virtual new hire orientation activities as needed. Document virtual and in-person training sessions within the Inside Tesla Learning Management System
What You'll Bring
- Evidence of exceptional Parts Advisor knowledge and teaching ability, while displaying empathy, patience, and a high degree of interest in adult learning
- Experience in high-volume training or coordination/administrative role in a fast-paced environment and leadership role. Experience with promoting systems and organization
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to facilitate training classes, including strong verbal and written communication skills, including solid interpersonal skills
- The individual will work a minimum of 40 hours per week across M-F and should be able to acquire a valid U.S. passport to train in Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico if needed
